Named after the Palace of Knossos, home to King Minos and the might Minotaur. When Knossos palace was excavated, they discovered hundreds of terracotta storage pots, some similar to this design, featuring a slightly bulbous body for maximum storage space, a wide neck for ease of filling and handles to help with moving the pot around. Today, these elements all make Knossos the perfect container for a feature plant, perhaps flanking a doorway or grouped with other pots. As well as rings and Cretan chain designs, the pot also features a regular indented pattern in rings all around the main body, making this an extra special planter.
